Endomethasone N is a two-component complex for the preparation of zinc oxide-ethylene cement paste used for the final filling of root canals. Optimal sealing results are achieved due to the properties of the paste – it does not dissolve after curing, has a strong antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect, which does not end even after the procedure is completed and lasts for several more hours. The property of highlighting at the stage of control by X-rays helps to confirm the accuracy of the insertion of the seal into the root canals, reducing the risk of complications to a minimum.
The paste is a material based on hydrocortisone acetate and eugenol with the addition of various auxiliary components, such as iodized thymol, which increases the antibacterial effect, and barium sulfate, the content of which helps to achieve a high effect of radiopacity.
Unlike other pastes for final filling of root canals, the content of hydrocortisone in the basis of the complex significantly reduces unpleasant sensations after the procedure, which are not uncommon when filling pastes with zinc oxide and eugenol.
Advantages of Endomethasone N:
Pronounced antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties due to the unique combination of hydrocortisone acetate and diiodol;
Radiopacity;
Does not shrink after curing, which makes it possible for optimal closure of the root canal;
The proportions of powder and liquid are designed in such a way as to provide the required viscosity of the paste for maximum effect and prevent shrinkage of the material after curing;
Provides prolonged antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect and upon completion of manipulations
In special clinical cases, when canal filling is necessary without the use of gutta-percha pins, it shows high stability as an independent means of filling root canals.
The Endomethasone N complex is produced by the French company Septodont, which has occupied one of the leading positions in the global market of dental pharmacology for almost 90 years since its foundation.
